Drive Network Support Ltd (“DNS”) acts as a data controller for most client and website data, and as a data processor when we process personal data on behalf of clients under our Data Processing Agreement.
1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy explains how Drive Network Support Ltd collects, uses, and protects your personal information when you visit our websites (www.dnsupport.co.uk and www.dnsupport.net), register for the 30-Day Network Evaluation, use the Secure Edge Gateway Platform (SEGP), purchase our products, or use our managed IT, cybersecurity, cloud hosting, and CNC system support services. We may also offer training, apprenticeship and scholarship programmes in the future; if and when we do, this Privacy Policy will apply to personal data processed in connection with them.
If we offer scholarships, apprenticeships, or training programmes in the future and you apply for or participate in them, please also review the relevant Scholarship Terms, which will be made available at that time. Where there is a conflict, this Privacy Policy applies to how we process personal data, and the Scholarship Terms govern programme eligibility and conduct.
2. Information we collect
We collect personal information that you provide directly, such as your name, company, email address, phone number, job title, and billing details — including the details you submit through our Contact page or the 30-Day Evaluation site survey. We also collect technical information automatically when you visit our websites, including your IP address, browser and device identifiers, pages viewed, and cookie identifiers.
Depending on the service you use, we may also process:
- Account and authentication data for our portals and support tools.
- Support ticket content, chat or call notes, and asset details (e.g. device names, serial numbers).
- System telemetry and logs generated by managed IT, security, CNC support tools, and Secure Edge Gateway Platform deployments, including the 30-Day Evaluation.
- Future training, apprenticeship, or scholarship application details, if and when we invite applications (e.g. CV/resume, qualifications, references).
- Payment information processed by our payment providers (we do not store full card or bank details).
3. How we use your information
We use your personal information to:
- Provide, secure, and support our IT, cybersecurity, CNC, e-commerce and Secure Edge Gateway Platform services.
- Set up and administer your accounts, deliver the 30-Day Evaluation, process orders and payments, and deliver products.
- Respond to enquiries, provide customer support, and manage projects.
- Monitor, maintain, and improve service performance, safety, and fraud prevention.
- Send service notices and, where permitted, relevant marketing communications.
- Comply with legal, tax, regulatory, and contractual obligations.
Lawful bases for processing include: performance of a contract, legitimate interests (e.g. improving and securing our services, B2B marketing), consent (where required), and compliance with legal obligations.
4. Data sharing and disclosure
We do not sell your personal information. We may share it with:
- Service providers and sub-processors who help us operate, such as data centres and cloud platforms, payment processors, couriers, ticketing and RMM providers, remote support and security vendors, analytics providers, learning and assessment partners, and communications platforms.
- Business partners and manufacturers where needed to fulfil support or warranty obligations.
- Professional advisers (legal, tax, insurers), auditors, regulators and authorities where required by law or to protect rights, safety, and security.
- Buyers or successors in the event of a merger, acquisition, or asset transfer, to the extent permitted by law.
We require recipients to protect your data under appropriate contractual terms and security measures. A current list of key sub-processors is available on request.
5. Cookies and tracking
Our websites use cookies and similar technologies to remember preferences, enable core functionality, analyse traffic, and personalise content. You can control or disable cookies in your browser settings. For full details, please see our Cookie Policy. Some features may not function properly if cookies are disabled.
6. Marketing communications
We may send you updates about our products, services, events, and promotions that are relevant to your business. For B2B contacts, we rely on legitimate interests and always provide an opt-out. Where consent is required, we will seek it first. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in our emails or by contacting info@dnsupport.co.uk.
7. Data retention
We retain personal information only as long as necessary for the purposes described above, including to meet legal, accounting, or reporting obligations. Typical examples include: customer account and order records retained for up to 7 years for tax compliance; support ticket data retained for the duration of the contract plus a reasonable period; 30-Day Evaluation data and findings retained for the Evaluation Period plus a limited follow-up period unless you ask us to delete them sooner; and any future training, apprenticeship or scholarship applicant data retained for the relevant selection cycle plus a limited period unless you ask us to keep it on file.
8. Your rights
Under the UK GDPR, you have the right to:
- Access and receive a copy of your personal data.
- Request correction or deletion of inaccurate or outdated data.
- Object to processing or request restriction of use.
- Withdraw consent at any time (where processing is based on consent).
- Data portability in certain circumstances.
To exercise these rights, use our Contact page or email info@dnsupport.co.uk. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (www.ico.org.uk) if you are unhappy with how we handle your data. For processor activities, see our Data Processing Agreement for details on roles and responsibilities.
9. Data security
We implement technical and organisational measures to protect your data from unauthorised access, alteration, loss, or destruction, including network segmentation, encryption in transit and at rest (where appropriate), access controls, monitoring, and regular security reviews and testing. We train our staff on security and data protection and operate 24/7 monitoring for managed environments.
In the event of a personal data breach, we will assess risk and notify affected individuals and regulators where required by law without undue delay.
10. International data transfers
Where data is transferred outside the United Kingdom, we ensure it is protected by appropriate safeguards in line with UK data protection law, such as adequacy regulations or the UK International Data Transfer Agreement (IDTA) and, where applicable, the EU Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) with UK addendum.
11. Children’s privacy
Our websites and services are not directed at individuals under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately.
12. Links to other websites
Our websites may contain links to external sites not operated by us. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of these third-party websites.
13. Updates to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The latest version will always be available on our websites with the effective date shown at the top. Where changes are material, we will take reasonable steps to notify you (for example, by email or a notice on our websites).
14. Contact us

15. Future scholarship, apprenticeship and training applicants
We do not currently operate scholarship, apprenticeship or training programmes. If we do so in the future and you apply for or participate in them, we would process the personal data you provide (such as identification, contact details, qualifications, references, and application materials) to assess eligibility, administer the relevant programme, and meet legal obligations. Additional terms would apply at that time; relevant Scholarship Terms would be made available on request. Applicant data would be retained for the selection cycle and a limited period thereafter, unless we obtain your consent to keep it on file for future opportunities or are required to keep it longer by law.
